We just came back to rainy Vancouver, from sunny Ecuador, where we planted 10 orange trees & 11 limes trees on our property. Our 4 acre piece of heaven is in the Southern Highlands (an hour from Cuenca) near Santa Isabel. Our property is over 6,000 feet high with a view down the valley in front and a view of the Andes behind us. We are looking forward to building our home there, and after that an Eco Lodge. In this sub tropical climate we can grow bananas, mango, papaya, citrus fruit, passion fruit, vegetables, nuts........We can hardly wait to make the final move to Ecuador. We miss the tranquil lifestyle, our amazing new friends, the climate, the beauty and diversity, and all of the fresh fruits and vegetables for one tenth of the cost of what we pay here. Ecuador has become our home.
